Pray for Palmer
An online journal about Palmer’s Journey. One of her nicknames “palm tree” and the beach where she would rather be right now. Just imagine these are Palmer’s feet when this journey is over!
2 Year Post Transplant Results Are In
Author: Scott
Yes results are in - and everything related to transplant looked very good. Palmer is 100% donor in her marrow - which is exactly what we want. Palmer is getting stronger day by day thanks to the guys at Baptist PT. It has been a lot of work for Palmer getting back physically after 4 hip surgeries the past 12 months and staying the course academically at school. Palmer will be totally caught up by next week after having missed so many weeks of school. It seems like so long ago and just like yesterday that Palmer was in hospital for transplant during this Christmas season. Thank you for loving on Palmer and our family. We thank God for her life and continued progress. Strength & Honor - The Richardson 6

Palmer Back in School
Author: Scott
Palmer attended partial days at school last week. She feels pretty good and sometimes overdoes it with her new hip and pays the price in pain-soreness later. She does best when crutching some so as not to overdue it. Today will be here first full day back in school. Palmer was inducted into the math honor society Mu Alpha Theta last week. She also has been invited to be a member of the National Honor Society. Both selections based on her academic achievement. We are obviously very proud of Palmer and her accomplishments. Thank you all who continue to honor our family with prayer and encouragement. The Richardson 6

Happy Birthday Palmer
Author: Scott
Yes it is hard to believe - Palmer is 17 today. She has enjoyed a breakfast of her Mom’s banana bread and her Mom and Dad are taking her to lunch. We plan to celebrate Sunday afternoon when we can have more relax time to celebrate. Palmer is still on walker and still sleeping downstairs. She has not yet returned to school and probably will not until October 20th. She does not have the endurance or stability quite yet. She is improving and recovering well. Thank you to all who have loved, followed, encouraged and supported our family these many years. Palmer was first diagnosed just 4 months after her 12th birthday. She is an amazing and inspiring young woman and it is a great blessing to be her Mom & Dad. Above all we thank the Lord for allowing us to see her to this point in her life and in “Great Belief” (www.prayforelijah.com) quoted from Elijah” trust Him for her future.

Palmer Discharged from Hospital
Author: Scott
Palmer and Lori Ann left hospital yesterday and are staying in an apartment generously shared with our family very near hospital and downtown Dallas. Palmer is improving every day. Still sore from surgery and moving slow. Her mom takes good care of her and gets up with her every time needed day and night. They are both exhausted as you might imagine. Palmer has doctor visit Monday and will return to Nashville on Tuesday if all goes according to plan. Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement.
Would you all please pray for 2 very special friends www.prayforelijah.com and prayforzach.com Palmer met when she was first diagnosed at ACH and both who are still in the battle.

Out of Surgery
Author: Scott
Palmer came out of surgery about 2:30pm. Surgery preperation took a while, Dr. Lancaster carefully planned and measured exactly the length and reconstruction of Palmer’s hip as they began. Dr. Ahmad took care of her anesthesia with equal preperation and planning. Palmer came out of recovery about 6:30 and is in her room resting. Everything went great and she is watching dancing with the stars and pain is well managed. Mom is on a roll away bed giving constant care to Palmer - are any of you suprised. Thank you for all the prayers and support
